Missing Power Head Diagrams

I hate to be a distraction -- but where can I find Powerhead parts Diagram for 1988 EV 90 HP?
I am reinstalling the lower unit and I seem to have lost or broken the pin (or whatever) that joins the shift rod to the bell crank and shift cable. the LU wwouldn't come down untill I pushed the pin - so something was there.
I have done LU a few times on a 1990 225 hp - this one is different the 225 uses an attaching screw. Thi 90 changed to a sliding thing that moves a pin into the shift rod hole. At first I thought it was an improvement -- now not so sure. It is very burried under the lower carb and the shift rad rotates.
There is no powerhead diagram for the 1998 90 hp or the johnson version on Marinengines.com HELP?
An accurate diagram might save me disassembling the front of the motor. Another active thread has a power head diagram with similar but slightly different parts.

Do you mean this diagram for the Cylinder and Crankcase for a 1988 Evinrude 90?

Sure looks like it lists parts for the shift rod.

The pin you speak of is attached to part item #45.... impossible that you could lose the pin.

The shift rod needs to be led to the slot and slipped in, then the shift lever pulled back into position which caused the pin that's attached to that clevis to lock the shift rod in place.

Yes -- That is the diagram I was looking for and it is present for my engine.
I got the thing back together by patiently fiddling and jiggling things around with makeshift tools.
The diagram didn't help much as it doesnt show much detail. Experience is the best teacher.
