"Hey all,
I just rebuilt a 19

"Hey all,
I just rebuilt a 1992 7.4 big block as the guy who worked on it last year left the water in it and it froze and broke in the valve valleys. This leads me to my question. I started it yesterday for the first time to time it. It was full of oil and power steering fluid. It was running great. I did not run very long and wanted to check the run to see if I had any water or anything in it. Well all the oil was gone and it did not run into the blidge and out the drain plug. This has me really wondering where could of 7 qts of oil gone. The blidge is oil free as I said perviously. I look in all the discharge water ran through the motor and it is full of oil. Would it be possible for the oil cooler to have cracked on the inside and running the motor pumped all the oil out with the water? Power steering fluid gone also. As I said earlier there is not oil in the boat and before I ran the motor the pan was full. Please help. I do not know if it matters but it is in a 1978 26' sea ray express curiser with a Bravo II. Before staring I could not get the water to go from the intake on the out drive to the motor, so I disconnected the intake hose from fitting on the house and made an adapter to running my graden hose directly to the raw water pump in order to get water to the motor. I really do not want to pull this pig again. I am at the end of my rope. I have owned this boat for two years and have yet to have it on the lake. It is turning into a money pit and is one thing after the other. Thanks for any help with this."
