Missing ID Tag

New to boating, have a lame question. Looking at an 06 Glastron 175, the id plate on top of the motor to ID the boat as a 3.0l Mercruiser is missing, I got a none answer when I asked the seller about it. Should I be concerned?

Run your hand over the rear port side corner where the block meets the head might be a tag there.

Maybe one near the starter.
