Missing flush adapter cap , water coming out !

Just got my boat with the BF 130 on it and noticed that where the water flush adapter goes does not have a cap. I am going to reach out to the old owner and see if he has it ,but my question is ....while the engine is running should water be coming out from it? Is this normal because I do not have the cap on it

thank you

Water should not be coming out there. There is no cap that screws in. There is a cover to cover the large hole, but that will not stop the water. See # 15

The leaking is coming from the flush port valve that is probably corroded. See parts 8,9 10, and 19.

You might be able to just clean them up, but most times it is best to replace the parts above.

is it just part #s 8,9,10,&19 that need to be changed . Is this an easy fix . How would one attempt to clean it up. I did notice that the water that came out of there eventually stopped . I saw it twice, so maybe it’s corroded a bit.

Thank you

PS where are you located , I need a good Honda mechanic!!

I just had this same issue and found it to be a salt deposit keeping #19 from sealing properly. Soap and water with a tooth brush should fix it.
