When running my 1993 Merc 150V
When running my 1993 Merc 150V6 on the muffs I found a fuel hose was slightly cracked running from the upper carb to the idle enrichment valve. While observing the fuel leaking out of the hose it appeared to be a "milky green" color. There was a pool of the milky fuel that puddled up in the lower cowling. I haven't siphoned any out of the tank to see what it looks like in there..thats my next step.
Is this an indication I should take warning of? What could cause this? I just put fuel in the boat about 2 weeks ago. I normally use seafoam but didn't add it on my last fill up. There should be a little still in it.
I'm thinking this is either water in the fuel
Or....I did use cheeper grade convenience store oil the last time I gased it up (I know ...probably should have gotten better oil.) I think it may have been a name brand though.
Thanks guys.
