"so i bought this boat and it
"so i bought this boat and it came with 2 6.5gal tanks with maybe a quarter tank of old gas in each. so we fill up both tanks and take her out and she runs great on tank A. she sputters a bit but she runs strong at anything above idle. i switch her over to tank B and after a min or two she stalls. long story short.. i think its the bad gas or the pickup on the tanks gummed up (got new fuel lines and bulbs for each)
now i switch her back to tank A and after some cranking she started and ran fine, i switch back to B and shes runs dry and stalls so now i know its the tank. but heres the problem.. i switch her back to A again and i couldnt get her to start before the battery died. how hard should it be to start a motor after shes runs dry of fuel? is there anywhere else i should be looking?
ill admit i didnt even look at the plugs, but i didnt have reason to, even when cold she would fire right up as long as we kept her on the one tank. all these issus started as soon as we tried to swap tanks. i do plan on going out and replacing the bad tank B with a 12gal, i just hope im not wasting my time/money. would like to take the boat out wendsday.. thanks guys."
