"Motor was fine, than jsut wouldnt start on the lake. got it in on the trailer, now it will only turn over very slow, unless the plugs are out (no compression). Once we put the plugs back in, it has a hard time turning over once again what can be the problem? battery has a charger on the "start" position pluged in the house, so its getting enough power i would think..

any help?

"The last one that did that for me was a broken Field wire in the starter. Starter maintenance seems to always be neglected on any motor. If it works, then it is just expected to keep working - I think it is time to have a look-see. That's the guy you really depend on - especially when it is too stout for a rope start or weak shoulder."

"chg/LOAD TEST BATT......clean all conn's...if u have bubbled up areas in batt cables,repl them...hook a hott bat to starter,try it...have it checked at a starter pl..or repl w/new,..IF its the starter.ck ure eng,for excessive 'drag'...w/plugs OUT."
