Hi All
I am new here with a 2022 Mercury 9.9hp electric start outboard. and am currently cruising the world so not easy to get these things fixed.
I have a problem with the throttle cam position relative to the neutral cam position and I need to know how to adjust this.
Currently when trying to shift into reverse the engine revs before engaging (very dangerous). Not sure how this occurred in the first place but needs rectifying.
At first I thought the throttle linkage needed adjusting but realized that the throttle cam was in the wrong position.
I don't want to fiddle with the bolt in the middle of this cam until I have some firm advice about this.
Any help greatly appreciated.
thanks
Tony
