Mercury XR2 Fuel Bowls empty problem

"I have a mercury xr2 with 3

"I have a mercury xr2 with 3 2 barrel carbs. There is gas getting to each of the Carbs since I can take the fuel lines off and squeeze the bulb and push gas through. It appears like the carbs fuel line has each carb in line starting from the top carb ending at the bottom carb. When I take the fuel bowl caps off, I get NO gas. Does this mean that either the Needle valve or Floats are stuck in all three carbs?

I have a new set of carb gaskets and I was going to take them off and clean in some carb cleaner and see if this did the trick.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

"Try to clean them first and maybe some carb kits because it seems that gas is being restricted to the bowl, therefore maybe something being clogged."

"After pulling apart the carbs, it turns out that every one of the needle valves (6 of them, 2 per carb) were stuck. Its amazing because I had run the motor just 3 weeks prior. Must have been some bad gas?
