Hello,
I bought a Mercury Triducer Kit (8M0112503), I was told it was compatible with my outboard since my outboard is SmartCraft ready (2019 Mercury 60HP 4 Stroke ELPT CT). Now I have received the kit and I am trying to figure out how to get this wired. The harnesses included in the box are 4 pins and the instructions mention to hook the transducer harness to my diagnostic port. Well, my diagnostics port on the engine is a 10 pin connector (like the smartcraft connector under the dash).
If I go with the color code on the wires, it has the same color wires as the smartcraft (blue, white, purple, black), if the transducer (8M6004806) is smartcraft ready, would it be safe to get a 10 pin connector and wire the transducer to this connector to plug it into the smartcraft network (diag port or J Box)?
I have a Smartcraft SC1000 Tachometer that I will use to display the depth (and the speed/water temp if I can figure those out too but the trasnducer is the important one right now).
Thank you in advance.
