Mercury Throttle and Gear Cable

I changed my throttle and gear cables on my nitro and forgot to mark what wire goes back on to what. Got the connections back onto the motor but cant figure out what goes where on the gear box. thanks

Gear cable is shift cables right?? Outboard??? What size??? If jus making a decision to which goes on throttle and which on shift remove one from engine and push manually c which moves then mark it
On control box when determining which is shift which is throttle the linkage moves first in control box is shift

Be careful if you have the usual single lever Merc control! Very easy to mix 'em up with disastrous results. Work the throttle and watch carefully which cable moves and WHEN; the shift cable moves a bunch right away as you throttle up; the throttle does NOT move initially, then goes all the way as you reach WOT.

Mark each cable with a duct taped tag so you don't goof up.
