Hey All-
I recently came into a 2003 Mercury Optimax. Seems clean, good condition, running great. It came with some SmartCraft gauges, a tachometer and a spedometer. However I think I am missing a harness or something that's needed to get them connected. The motors were previously running as a pair, but are now split, so maybe some of the harnesses needed, are with the other pair.
Somone pointed me toward the smartwire.pdf document that seems to be a pretty thorough explanation of what I need to get these connected up. If I am reading that document correctly, I need a junction box, and a system harness for each of the tachometer and the spedometer. Does that sound right?
Hopefully someone in here who is more familiar with the smartcraft stuff can help point me in the right direction. Having owned a 1986 Suzuki DT200 for the last 20 years .. my poor brain is a little behind the times with this stuff
