Mercury Smartcraft gauge

seems like i cant find anything definitive on connecting the fuel sending unit to the gauge.

do the sending unit wires have to be run to the motor? or by the gauge?
all i can find is to the harness. but im assuming the harness runs from the gauge to the motor already?

I wouldn't assume anything- what does the Garmin and SmartCraft installation info show?

You need to forget about sending unit wires- this is a data buss. It needs power, ground and a connection for data, not a Battery +, Gnd and output to a gauge.

Check YouTube for videos posted by Mercury/Mercruiser- if they require access credentials, you'll need to find the info somewhere else.
