I have a 1989 200 HP Mercury outboard and for some reason my power trim slowly drops down when parked or in the water.
I do not see any leaks anywhere, so I assume its a valve leak internally.
I have replaced the oil in the reservoir and it still happens.
On land about 20 minutes the motor has dropped down to the bottom.
So my question is would the main cylinder need rebuilding or is it something in the pump that is letting the oil leak back down?
What does the other two small rams do? Are they just auxiliary rams or just some sort of cushions for the big ram when its in the water?
Any help would be great.
