I have a 2002 4 stroke Mercury engine where the switch to raise and lower engine works fine but the toggle switch on console stopped working yesterday while on the water. Could someone tell me what to look for to repair? Thanks

Put a meter on the connections at the motor and have someone hit the tilt switches. That should tell you where the problem is.

Switch works on engine but not at console. Could it just be the toggle switch has gone bad?

It could be, but more likely the terminals are corroded or have come loose. Check the simple things first.
