"Hi, can anyone tell me if the carbs are the same . I have a 1986 135hp mercury black max and need a set of carbs. I've found a set but they are off of a 1987 175hp. Are they exactly the the same. My carbs on the motor now are wh-35 and that's the same #'s on these carbs?????Thanks for your time and help

The brass jets are a different

The brass jets are a different size. Take the ones out of the old carbs. It should work if you rejet it.

Thanks Bandit. I'll use the jetting chart you gave me to make sure of the jetting size. The carbs I've bought are suppose to have wh-35a and it's the whole set of 3 still on the intake and with the reeds. should I use the complete set of three or just the one i need ?

If this makes this engine pickup those 2 dead cylinders at a idle, it will be great! and I will have had one hell of a lesson on mercury outboards. Thanks
