Mercury Outboard 3.5 hp motor. HELP!!

hey, i need help. I have a 1983 2 stroke motor. I was wondering how much of oil and gas i put in..a mixture. Also my motor gets hot very fast ..so i was wondering if thats ok and for the rails around the motor to get hot too.
