I don't have a clue about your engine, but on older engines......according to published data, when you turn the key switch from OFF to ON, you will get a beep....I'm 85 now and almost legally deaf and I never heard my beep upon key ON. Once you get past that if you have a beeping noise, either continuous or intermittent, it signals a problem with temperature or, for 2 strokers, a problem with the onboard oiling system.Have a 2012 mercury 90 4 stoke. Will set off one beep and loose power for a second. Doesn’t happen every time out but when it does it will do it every couple minutes. Never at trolling speed I’d say half throttle and up. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks
It’s a 2012. It’s in the shop right now for the third time for this issue. I just went to pick it up today they said it was done. They told me it threw an over heating code and put new impeller, seal and oil and filter change. I told them they did the same thing last year and it didn’t solve the issue. I just changed oil and filter. Impeller has been changed for the third time in two years. They did thermostat last year and a fuel pump for separate issue. These new motors need a scanner to find out what's wrong with them.
A one beep can be many things, electric power (bad connection), communications error, fuel pressure and a few other things
