I have a merc 135 v6 and am trying to find model number to identify year .......where is it?

I would like to order a fuel pump rebuild kit fo rthis engine.

I looked at the carbs and didn't see anything.

Any idea where it may be?

"look for a silver freeze plug on the block with numbers if you cant find the tag on the right transom bracket. what color is the engine cowl, or post a pic and the pro's here can come close to the right year by looking. You can look here and after some comparison find out what you have

"I have an inline 6 cylinder merc. No idea on hp or year. Serial # is 3946994. Any info would be greatly appreciated so I can get a manual and get to work. Turns over fine, sparks, gas to the carbs, but nothing. Previous owner swears spraying carb cleaner cranked it right up, but that isn't doing anything either. Thanks for any help.
