" Where can I find out info on this motor I have? It is a model 650 mercury 3cyl. S/N is 3661505. I don't know the yr and would like to find that out. I need to get a repair manual so that I can repair my carb. Also, should I replace a prop that is chewed up or have it repaired.

" If the motor has a red stripe on the cowling, it is early to mid seventies. If it has a blue accent stripe instead, - late seventies to early eighties. When ordering Mercury parts, especially for older motors, you will always need the serial number. Keep it in your wallet. Mercury dealers look up parts by serial number groupings rather than model years. "

They never made the 3 cylinde

They never made the 3 cylinder with the red striping. 72 was the first year for the 3 cylinder and it was blue trim.
