Mercury flush plug 50hp 1975 +/-

I have a flush plug that I just can't seem to open. Any ideas? Is a propane torch safe to heat the area around the plug?

I'm missing the top plug. Who will carry a replacement near Germantown, WI?

Try using a big enough screw driver, and tap it lightly with a hammer. If you havent yet, spray heavily with wd40 and let sit for a while. If the slot is worn out, you might want to use a dremel to grind in a notch, but just tapping the screwdriver in might be enough.
You shoudl be able to get new screws from west marine or another online source,

An impact driver works every time. You might be able to borrow one from Autozone or Advance.
