mercury engine electrical fires 2005 60 ELPT EFI

Has others had problems with electrical fires on the newer mercury's as in voltage reg,or ecm or anything electrical.
if so please post thank you.SI

I have repaired a few of these. It usually starts when the boat owner, hooking up the batteries, thinks that the yellow wire(Vessel Ground on newer boats) goes to the positive of the battery.
