Hi all!
My boat runs on a Mercury engine, 60PT4S, 2004.
I have run the engine 4-5 times this season without any issues. Today, was no exception. It
started without issue. The boat ran on water for about 1 hour. After an 1 hour of rest by the dock, I went to start the engine but it would’ve start.
Normally, I turn on the battery switch (mest to the battery), then I turn the switch (by the steering wheel) to ON. The battery gauge (voltmeter) shows 12V. Then I press the key fob (Nautilock boat security system ) and finally turn the switch a bit more to start the engine. Always works but not this time. The engine doesn’t make a sound. No klicks. Nothing. There is small dip in voltage but nothing else happens.
The battery is charged to 12 V and charges circa 14V when engine is running. The gas tank is full.
Any ideas about what is wrong with my Mercury engine?
I sits on an Uttern D51 Crossmax.
Thanks!
Thaher
