Hi, my name is Kamil. I live in Poland. Three years ago i bought boat with Mercury elpto 75 cdm ignition.
The engine was allways misfiring,shaking and intermittent droping spark when i try go out the plane. When got plane is ok, but miss top end speed (it feels like engine sometimes want go faster, but something slighty pull him back). Bulb is stiff and pumping doesnt solve the issue.
Things done to the engine:
-new fuel line, new pump kit
-rebuilded carbs
-link & sync 100 times
-rebuild the power head witch wiseco piston (due to scorched middle cyl - btw 10 bar compresion)
-equal compression on all 3 cyl - 10 Bar
-changed stator (used)
-changed trigger (used)
-new spark plugs and wires
-got 6 spare cdms (used)
-new poppet kit and thermostat
-new water pump
-reeds in excelent condition
-dva 280v stator on iddle, 4,7 -5,4 trigger
-good charging, unplugged regulator doesnt change nothing
Engine start easily after month of no use , working well on idlle (sometimes shaking ), rev up fast without load.
The real problem start when it under load- inermittent spark, no power trying wot (sometimes is devil, but 90% time is sluggish)
Today when it got dark i hooked up timing light to each cyl, and noticed that second cyl got 2x faster spark than others, sometimes back to normal, sometimes miss, but after while back to 2x faster - it cover with engnine behavior.
I cant surrender now, please help Tiggger, stator, harness? (checked kill switch, it behave same way with commander handle unplugged) Btw sorry for language.
