I have a Mercury 110 (9.8H

I have a Mercury 110 (9.8HP) engine with serial number of 5455155. I was wanting to know the year it was made. Also it looks like it can be converted to electric start. Does anybody know a part number for the starter or a conversion kit?

"Part number for the starter motor is 50-78011. It was a good number to 1996, however, it may have been superceded by this date. As to the other parts you need, solenoid, cables, switch, they are all available at your local automotive store, such as NAPA."

"That part number shows NLA (no longer available) from Mercury and doesn't seem supercede to anything.

There also doesn't appear to be a replacement."
