Hello everybody,

Sometime gasoline may content water where I stay I was wondering if it would be smart to add a fuel filter.

Somewhere I could read : Not recommended for use with electric fuel pumps using in-line filters
about the Moeller 033322 fuel/water filter.

Do you think this concern the Mercury 4 strokes HP 50 EFI ?

If so what you would recommand ?

Thanking you in advance for your advices...

Thank you , that is what I thought but...I had it already in its box for years in my garage.
They are sell for 100 hours, I planned to change it after 60.
But your right I should not be cheap. Thank you.

The point is : Is it safe to use a fuel/water separator with a Mercury EFI 50.
I should ask to Mercury but I do not know if they have a forum.
Cordially

Thank you everyone and I got also today the answer from Mercury Marine Customer assistance.
They confirm : " The Moeller filter will work well with your EFI HP 50 ".

And Moeller recommands one filter per engine :
The reason for the 4 connections is to make it universal and capable to be mounted anywhere in the boat and still have hose accessibility. Each engine must have it's own filter. If you were to connect 2 engines to the same filter one of the engines would starve.
