Mercury Controls 1999 to 2003

I have a 1999 Fisher Dominator with a 1999 Mercury Force that Im going to replace with a 2003 Mercury 60ELPT 4-Stroke EFI Bigfoot. I would like to know if my 1999 Force controls will work with the 2003 Mercury four stroke?

It should. The cables wil have two pins That lock into the side of the motor then the ends get held on with a nut. Force was made my Mercury so everything should be the same
