First post, all help would be appreciated. I have to pull the flywheel off and swap out with a new one. Basically from what I have gathered, my engine is pretty much a bastard engine and is filled with non available parts and minimal information. The flywheel on this particular outboard is the style that takes a harmonic balancer style puller, which is what everyone suggests, but the problem is a harmonic ballancer puller does not fit. The notches in the puller are not long enough and do not line up with the threaded holes on the flywheel. I have tried to size up many different ones. Needs to be longer but I can not find one available online nor locally. When I search all I find is the center drive threaded version. Will not work on mine. Please help! Just need to know what I can use that's available and doesnt cost an arm and a leg. Thank you!
