I have a Mercury 9.9 four stroke outboard (electric Start) year 2005
I have a slight problem. If i crank the starter and it starts first time everythings fine. Engine runs smooth. If it does not start first time i turn the key, light is on, but starter does not turn. If i remove top cover and turn the driven wheel round a few degrees by hand it will then start and run ok. This also occurs with a warm engine if i switch off for 10 mins etc... after ive moved the belt driven wheel it starts ok.... Bugging me . Any ideas
Thanks
