Trying to make a decision for a trolling/backup motor. 4 strokes mostly too heavy... It looks like the 8hp, 9.9 and 15hp 2 stroke are very close in weight for early-mid 90's outboards.
The only info I can find is the NADA guide... Well I looked at a 4-stroke engine and it was way heavier than than the NADA guide says...
So my question is about how much a 9.9 merc from early mid-90's weighs and if there is much diiference between that and the 8 or 15.. Looks like about 5lbs lighter and heavier respectively..
