"Motor runs fine, when its been running for a few hours then idles its running lumpy or choking up? As soon as i rev it a lot of blue smoke apears and it's fine for a few mins on idle. Does seem to idle slow to me but not sure if that the norm? Just taking the plugs out which are ngk buhw-2 and they are very wet/black but clean off easily with a rag. Any suggestions? Many thanks"

Merc has a TSB out advising that the fuel pump be rebuilt. The kits from Merc (about $20) include new style check valves and instructions for installing them.
