I have a mercury thunderbolt 7.5 hp motor on my bow fishing boat, its only a 15 foot jon boat. The last time i ran the motor i was running down the river and suddenly the motor lost a lot of its forward thrust and the rpms sky rocket while the motor does not propel the boat forward. The motor will still go in reverse and run fine, it just "revs" per-say very high in forward without moving. Any ideas on what this could be? any help would be greatly appreciated.
