Mercury 60hp tiller handle

I have a 1994 Mercury 60hp 2 stoke tiller. Has new power head. I use it also for duck hunting in cold temps. The throtle is very hard to turn almost having to use two hands to move it. I have taken the hood off and lubed the moving parts with spray silicon. Is there something else I need to lube between the handle and the motor in the braided line area that the cabel is in. I want to do this and not have to take it it. I also had a 1990 Mercury 40hp tiller 2 stoke that did the same thing. Thanks, Jerod

You may have to take the arm apart, clean and re lube it.

Not an easy job.

Does it have a throttle lock may may just need to be loosened.

It is loose and only does it when its cold. I will get it in to the marina. If I have the hood off and push the bottom part of the linkage assembly it is very smooth, maybe the dealer knows what to look at. Thanks, Jerod
