Mercury 50hp Cannot get lower unit off

I have read all the problems o

I have read all the problems on this page to see if I could get some help w/ getting my lower unit off. I have the shifter in forward & tha lower unit is hanging down but I cannot get it all the way off. I tried to pry it off but an unfamiliar w/ the transmission & do not want to break anything. Should I keep prying or try something else?

"should slide off if all the bolts are removed, most common bolt left in is just in front of the trim tab, must remove the tab to find it"
