Mercury 500 Thunderbolt 50hp wont start

Hi. Im new to this site. Have heard good reviews. Wanted to ask a wuestion. Merc cranked fine went some 4.5 miles. Went from trolling motor to merc some 3-4 times. Then nothing. Merc wouldnt fire. Trolled back with Merc tilted out of water. Decided to try it again before loading and bingo cranked up. Tried again when home. Nothing. Any ideas? Thanks
 
Where will I find it?
The motor was rewired before purchased it some 15 years ago. Also noticed a small line (gas) I think was broken at the top and bottom. It runs behind the board. It had a milky look to it.
 
That small line is the recirculation system.------------Takes oil from the bottom and puts it to the top of the engine.-----Post a picture if you can not find the serial #.--------Are there 4 ignition coils ?----Have you installed a new impeller in all those years ?

Impeller? Water pump. Yes. 4 cyl. I'm on my android. How do I post pic.
