Just recently picked up a 4hp mercury 2 stroke and have been looking about to try and establish what year and model the outboard is. The serial number for the outboard is 9286872 but I am unable to match this serial number to any year or model. The outboard was made in Belgium and has a Thunderbolt 2 ignition. Just wondering if anyone here would know what model and year the outboard is. All help is much appreciated.
