mercury 4.3 DigitalECM controler

I have a 2000 4.3V6 mercruser. Motor has a Digital ECM. Motor has no spark and has been looked at by several Techs, Most all have said they belive the Ecm is dead, All of the ignition components have been checked and or replaced . Coil Cap wires, circut breakers ect, Can this engine be rewired with tipical GMC ignition parts , The digital Ecm is no longer avalable, Mercurys replacment controler and wire harness is almost 5K pluss istalation, I can buy a new motor for that money, Boat is older but flauless, Has minimal hours Were, stumped

as long as you have a carb on it you can install any electronic dist.
