Mercury 35jet power 2023

Just got one of these lightly used on a boat.I understood this to be a35/25? Happened to be in bass pro where they do sell Mercury but not this small of jet.Asked a sales guy about it,he claimed it was a detuned 40,but both on a 60 power head.I don’t believe him.
