The motor is on a 15' Sta

The motor is on a 15' Stauter Built and sometimes it will plane off then the next day it won't. I've tried new gas/oil. New plugs. Even had someone look at it but still no luck. Could it be something else? Need some help please! PS mid to late 80's model.
