mercury 25 hp XD

I'm going to replace the impeller on my 25 hp merc. Is there any advice or tricks that might help this process? Anything is appreciated.

Disconnect shift linkage near the carburetor and remove bolts to drop lower unit ---------Every one I take apart seems to have a bad impeller.
