Mercury 2014 20hp model numbers with remote setup

Any one know where I can find the different model numbers for the 2014 20hp outboard motors and models with interchangeable parts. I have searched and even talked with a Merc Tech on the correct parts to convert a tiller to remote on my motor, I keep getting the wrong part number. Maybe if I had the model number for the 20hp models I could find the one already setup for remote controls then order just the parts I need for the manual controls.

I have already hooked up the steering and electric to the Quicksilver remote, work fine so just need brackets and parts to hook up the remote throttle/shift cables.

Can some on help me please. Any pic's and part numbers would be appreciated.

0r583645 and model 1-f20311ek, I did go thru the process of emailing them, told them I wanted the part numbers for my engine just to hook up the throttle and shift cables, they sent me this part number (889246a80) and when I looked up the part it says for the 8 and 9.9 merc's.

If the models are the same just diff HP then it should work, thats my dilemma, trying to find what models are the same as far as parts compatibility.

Can you help me out?

The above long list is all the model numbers listed for the new 20 HP 4 stroke similar to your engine model. As you know Mercury has not updated any conversion kit part numbers for the newer, bigger HP (20) engine model....so unfortunately finding an exact part number under your engine model most likely isn't going to be available any time soon.................... Since it "appears" nothing may have changed from the older models to the later model in the mounting area of this kit. It seems the older kit should still works on the new 20 and under engine models.............. Here is your parts catalog for your engine model. http://www.mercruiserparts.com/selectDocs.asp?doc_nbr=898103160 ............. Here is the parts catalog before your new engine model came out that you could use to compare some parts. http://www.mercruiserparts.com/selectDocs.asp?doc_nbr=803183 ....................... These guys might be able to confirm your question. http://www.potomacmarine.com/pages/...*Accessories/02-002-892644A05-1190/COMMON2430 .................. The next link coming up is an alright site to run the Merc part numbers to see what they fit by model number. Your engine is too new to find detailed info on the internet though. But the info you received from Mercury should be what you need. Is the part number they gave you the number you keep getting? http://www.boats.net/parts/detail/merc/M-889246A80.html.................... Sorry for the run on sentences, for some reason the enter button will not let me paragraph my texts on this site.

Thanks for the information, ordered a kit yesterday, not sure where to get rid of all the extra parts but will figure it out after I do the conversion.

Have a great day
