Mercury 2003 2 stroke not restarting

Hi all, I would greatly appreciate some help if anyone is able.

My engine is a Mercury 150hp 2 stroke 2003 model. It has been running well but the last two days has had issues restarting. It has started fine initially and runs well then I turn it off for a fish, go to restart and it won’t turn on. But then after towing it back in maybe an hour later it starts fine again and runs well. It cranks over fine when trying to restart and when it does start later it seems to run well again.

when this doesn't start is when to diagnose. First check to see if plugs are firing, pull one and reconnect spark plug wire then ground plug to engine block and turn over and look for spark. Sometimes the stator gets hot and coils break down but after it cools it will work for a minute or a while until it gets hot again.
