Mercury 150hp ProXS Jet

So I'm looking to order a 150/110 two stroke jet from Mercury, but they don't sell them jet ready anymore. If I want the 150 I have to buy the ProXS 150 with the lower unit that I will be replacing with a jet foot.

What is the lower unit worth on one of these if I tried to sell it after removing it? It would be a brand new unit. My dealer has made me an offer on it, but if I could get more on the market I would.

Thanks in advance

I have seen "asking prices" of somewhat over 1500 bucks (dealer list is about 2K). But - the 150 is/was a popular motor and the rate of powerhead failures to lower end failures probably runs somewhat north of 3:1 meaning there are lot's of "serviceable" lower units out there.

If the dealer is offering a grand or better I think (personally) I would snap it up. You could potentially spend a long time trying to sell it for more than that (depending on where you are and how prolific the motors are in your area) - and yes, it could be shipped anywhere, but that is often expensive being an "oversized" piece...

Thanks! My dealers offer was only $500 US. Sounds like I should shop around a little bit to see if anyone would be interested in it for more.
