"I put my 2amp charger on one
"I put my 2amp charger on one of my batteries the night before a day of fishing. The dumb part was that the wires were reversed and it charged like that all night. The motor cranked and ran fine, but as the day went along I lost my tach reading and then the motor stopped. I was able to restart it and made it home. After inspecting under the cowl, I noticed goo running down the side of my engine coming from the voltage regulator. I also found that I had somehow managed to forget to replace the main negative lead to the charged battery. I had also found the 2 yellow wires from the stator had welded themselves to each other.
I hooked up the cable and cranked the motor and checked for voltage output, which there was none.
I replaced the voltage regulator with a new one and now the motor will not fire. I replaced the stator with a new one and still no fire. I replaced the trigger and still no fire.
Anyone with any suggestions on this is welcome to weigh in with any help (advice) and I promise it will be greatly appreciated."
