"I have a 2004 Mercury 115 2 s

"I have a 2004 Mercury 115 2 stroke outboard mounted on 17.5 ft. Nitro bass boat. It has the Progressive Carburation system. My probelm is that after the engine has been run at about 5000 RPMs for about 4-5Mins. it starts to intermittantly loose power to 1 or more cylinders. It will kick in and out repeatedly for 4 or 5 minutes and then it will completly loose power to 1 or more cylinders and run as smooth as silk at full throtle but will only turn about 4000 rpms. Just enough to keep the boat on plane. Feels like it is runing on 3 cylinders.

Took it to Authorized Mercury Service. They said that that the Accelerator Fuel Pump was bad. They replaced it and Cleaned the Carbs and reset timing.

Did not help it 1 bit.

They said they thought the Stator, CDM'S and Regulator were fine. ??? However I do not think they ran it long enough to fully realize what the problem is."
