I have a 454 IO. Last year ran fine when put away. Prepped for launch and ran 5 minutes in driveway with water muffs no problems. Launched and started to drive and withing 5 minutes started to heat up. Water gauge ran up to 200 and alarm came on . Stretched it about 5 minutes at almost idle and shut it down as started to produce considerable white water vapor smoke. Now starter will not click or crank at all. There is a slight amount of water on the top of the intake manifold on each side of the carb area. Ideas? Suggestions? Is there a way to jump the mercathode to crank or start the engine?

Either a byproduct of combustion from a cold engine or water in the oil. Check the oil level and color.

Dead battery, kill switch off, siezed engine."
