Mercruiser outdrive for a '1993 Bayliner 5.0 V8 needed...What's the interchange?

I just bought a 1993 Bayliner 20' boat and don't know much about the boating terms, but I am doing the research, and am mechanically inclined, so the wrentch doesn't scare me...

The issue: I have the 5.0 Merc V8 (alpha one I think it is) 205 HP motor and I was wondering what type of outdrive interchanges, if any.

I have a specific question as well... I found a "Benchcraft" (prob a late 80's early 90's) boat with a Merc 4cyl motor in it and the outdrive is complete, will it fit? I have a V8 so I figured it is just a different world to try and put that on, right? or is it just a gear issue.

Any ideas would help...

Ok thanks! I don't have mine at all...I think it was taken or broken off. But I will take the lower end off.

whats missing the drive and bell housing or just the drive.

If all you need is a drive then buy a brand new sei. They can't be beat go to the website and see for yourself.
