mercruiser noise after starting

I have a mercruiser 3.0L and its 5 years old. This year it started fine hooked to the hose and when I got it in the water for the first time.
Its when I kill the engine and try to restart it that it makes a screeching sort of sound. its immediately after its started and only lasts a few seconds so its not the starter. Its not really a screech but more like a bad bearing sound. Its not in gear but I do give it a little gas to get it started and put it at idle once started. I am unable to reproduce the sound on land so I am getting frustrated and worried. I have had the boat out three times and all three times had issues. the boat runs fine and I've never had any issues with the engine. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Belts are tight and new. and it don't sound like belt screech. any other suggestions?

gimbel bearing. Power steering pump if equipped.

Disconnect both belts to see if it disappears. If it disappears; install one belt. Still no noise; connect the last belt.
