I have a 165 hp inline 6 with

I have a 165 hp inline 6 with a cracked block.
Can I drop in a 292 cubic inch 6 with no modifications?

"Wet exhaust hose is available by the foot at most marine part houses and shops, in several different diameters.
Try this site first.
Greenline is one manufacturer I know of.

"not all 292's had bolt holes for the mercruiser front engine mount, so you might have to make up some sort of home made mount.
You'll need to change the core plugs to brass and swap ALL the marine electrical and fuel system parts over as well as the water pump.
I suspect you'll have to change the prop to one with 2" more pitch. Mercruiser marketed the 292 as 200HP the one year they used it."
