Mercruiser Alternator Output

The output from the terminal on the back of the unit is 15V @ 2,000 rpm. The voltage at the battery terminal is 14.75. Is this within spec? Many thanks for answering my question,
 
Typical output is 13.5-14.5 VDC

When are you checking this?

At start up it can go to 15+ VDC but will drop as a short time goes by.

But I dont have acess to my manuals right now so I cannot be sure if 15 to 14.75 is out of spec.
 
13.9 - 14.7 VDC is the specified alternator output value...getting into the details, that's at a fast idle (1500-2000 rpm) WITH a fully charged battery...
